About
“Driving Excellence in Sugar, Sustainability, and Community.”
Samarth Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd., established in 1982, is the first cooperative sugar factory in Jalna district, born from a vision to uplift farmers and promote rural development.
Founded by the visionary Karmayogi Shri Ankushrao Tope, the factory was created to ensure fair pricing and a stable market for sugarcane farmers of Ambad taluka and nearby regions.
Our journey began after the benefits of the Jayakwadi Dam expanded sugarcane cultivation across the region, but farmers lacked a reliable processing facility. We produce high-quality sugar, adhering to national & international standards, serving both domestic and export markets.
Recognizing this need, Shri Tope led the effort to establish a cooperative that would be run by farmers, for farmers. With strong local support, government collaboration, and financial backing from institutions like IFCI, IDBI, and MSC Bank, the foundation was laid for a new era.
The main administrative building’s cornerstone was laid by Maharashtra CM Vasantdada Patil on 21st May 1983. Over the years, the factory has grown in capacity and impact, becoming a key player in Maharashtra’s sugar industry.
Modern processing units, sustainable practices, and operational excellence define our working principles. The factory also contributes to green initiatives through its co-generation, distillery, and bio-fertilizer units. We prioritize farmer welfare, environmental care, & community upliftment in all our operations.
Our cooperative model ensures that profits are shared, and growth is inclusive. We believe in empowering rural India through innovation, transparency, & sustainable growth. The facility continues to evolve, embracing new technologies and expanding into value-added products. Our commitment to quality, sustainability, & cooperative spirit has earned us the trust of
